Newsletter : 6th Sep 2008
A newsletter was distributed to all homes within a few kilometres of the proposed wind cluster, giving information about the proposals, inviting people to the public exhibition, and advising them on how to make their views known to us. If you are aware of anyone in the local area who did not receive a newsletter please inform them of our proposals, and let them know we will forward them a copy of the newsletter if they get in touch with us.
Public exhibition to consult on plans : 17th Sep 2008
A public exhibtion at the Strensham Village Hall was held from 1pm to 8pm. The exhbition was well attended by people from the local area, who were able to come and review the proposals, ask our development team questions and put forward opinions. A good number of questionnaires were filled out on the day, and a similar number were taken away for filling in after further consideration.
Existing Wind Farm Visit : 8th Nov 2008
During the public exhibition Wind Prospect Developments Ltd offered an opportunity to interested people to visit an existing wind energy development, and following the exhibition a number of people confirmed their desire to attend a visit. The site selected for the visit was the three wind turbines erected by McCains at their facility outside Whittlesey, and a fourth erected by a neighouring facility, and was chosen for the similar number and size of turbines as that proposed near Strensham. On the day it was possible to view the turbines upwind and downwind at distances similar to those of the nearest houses in relation to the Strensham turbines, as well as directly underneath them. If you live near the proposed turbines please ask around for the people who attended the visit, and they will be able to tell you what they actually sound and look like 'in the flesh'.
After visiting the McCains turbines the group was taken for a viewing of the nearby Glassmoor project, developed by Wind Prospect Developments Ltd some years ago.
